The Legacy for the Living Centers was created to provide help and support for the sick, addicted, and dying. We also provide information, direction and support for their families and caregivers.
Before and during final diagnosis and death, there is an enormous gap in services for the sick and dying. Our current health system is impersonal and inadequate; more than 60% of people die in institutions. Even with money and insurance, there is no guarantee that people will receive the essential protection, care, and support that they need. However, with proactive planning and guidance, people of all ages can die safely at home supported by kind, committed caretakers.
We help families with dying loved ones of all ages from young children to vulnerable aging parents. We support and help all individuals who want to take control of their final days. We want people to participate in living as long as they are alive. Rich and poor, young and old, DHF helps them all.
